Cultural Humility, Implicit Bias, and Critical Self Reflection  1.5 CEs Presented by Dr. Adriana Cuestas.

This interactive workshop is designed to support participants in deepening their understanding about cultural humility as an ongoing practice rooted in self-awareness, curiosity, and respect. Through storytelling and guided reflection, participants will be encouraged to participate in critical self-reflection as they explore how implicit biases influence perceptions and decision-making, and how these biases can impact relationships and outcomes in their work with babies, young children and families. Participants will engage in moments of critical self-reflection to examine parts of their own social identities, while building skills to recognize and interrupt bias in their work. The workshop emphasizes importance of reflective opportunities as a strategy to increase self-awareness and to identify and interrupt biases.
